Classic Hymns and Words
In the 2000 years or so since the Christian Church was started, many great expressions of praise to our God and Savior have been written. No single hymnal can contain them all. Here is a selection of some of those great hymns.

Songs by members of the Churches of God
People who love God are not content to just sing songs written by others.
Those who have musical talent seem to have an unquenchable urge to write their
own expressions of praise and love, both for themselves and to share that love
with others.
Here we will include hymns and other songs
composed by those members. It is our hope that some of these will find their way
into regular use by others in their praise time.

Contemporary Praise and Worship songs
What is the difference between a Hymn and a contemporary Praise Song?
One pundit described it something like this: "If I were to say to you
'Martha, the cows are in the corn' that would be a hymn, but if I were to say to
12 times 'Martha, oh Martha, Martha Martha dear, the cows, cows, cows, cows, the
beautiful cows are in, do you hear, they are in in in in in the corn, cows in
corn, Oh the corn, Martha where the cows are.' -- that would be a Praise
song.
More seriously, the modern praise song can be a deeply
meaningful expression of love and worship to our Lord and Savior. Here we will
try to present some of the best of this genre. Our selection will probably be
quite limited because most of these songs are under copyright and permission to
use them here would be difficult to obtain. Nevertheless, we do have a small
selection we have been given permission to use.
