  1.  O Eternal, Lord of Hosts,
      How my heart cries out for thee.
      How my soul longs for thy courts, 
      And for Thy tabernacles dear.
      As the sparrow finds a home,
      As the swallow finds a nest;
      Blest are those who dwell with Thee
      O Lord of Hosts, my King, my God!

  2.  In Thy house, Lord, all are blest;
      They shall ever sing Thy praise!
      Blest an happy is the man
      Whose strength is in the Lord his God.
      They all go from strength to strength,
      All appear before their God,
      God of Jacob, hear my prayer,
      O Lord of Hosts, my King, my God!

  3.  Now behold, O God, our shield;
      Look on Thine anointed ones;
      Hear my prayer, O Lord of Hosts,
      O God of Jacob, now give ear;
      Better one day in Thy house,
      Than a thousand days without;
      Better one day in Thy house,
      O Lord of Hosts, my King, my God!
