His son, Rolfe Jones, wrote: "there is some info about Dad (Robin Jones) in the Envoys - 1958 - 1974 - either as a student 1958 - 1962, or as a faculty member in Bricket Wood 1965 - 1974. In some year where the ministry was also shared he was in those photos also (ordained May 1963, by HWA, along with David Wainwright, Leon Walker and Ben Chapman - only Leon is left now). My mother Shirley Jones (Nee Engelbart) had mention between 1956 - 1960 as a student in Pasadena and 1960 - 1963 as a Faculty member in Bricket Wood."

I shall find this information and include on this page in due course.

I first wrote to Mr Robin Jones on 11 March 2024 and received several e-mails. On 12 March I wrote again after having his sermon on the History of the Work in Europe transcribed from video/audio to text:

>I think that it is important to preserve the information contained in your presentation in text form. A friend was able to do so and I have attached it for your records.<

He responded on 14 March with information on the early history of the Work in the UK which is incorporated into the website here.

In 1966 an article appeared that mentioned him 5 times (here) and I hope to find further information about him in Envoys (there was a mention of him on page 1 of the Worldwide News, 20 May 1983). Articles about his wife after her death are attached and there was mention of her in this CGI newspaper.

NB: he was a 1962 Bricket Wood graduate.

Vic Kubik wrote on his Facebook page, 29 May 2024:

>I was saddened to hear about the death of long-time minister Robin Jones from the United Kingdom. He died unexpectedly on May 21, 2024 at the age of 89. I took this photo of Mr. Jones at the funeral of John Ross Schroeder on March 20, 2014, in the United Kingdom. While there we got together for dinner to discuss many things that have happened in our lives in 50 years.

Robin Jones was a pillar of the Church, serving as faculty at Ambassador College in Bricket Wood during my two years there. His was the Faculty Advisor to the Portfolio, the College newspaper I worked for. I was fortunate to be part of the student's trip to Israel in June 1969 which, he led.

As as senior I was on the Church visiting programme and visited brethren in the London area with regularity with him. It's been an honor to know him and his wife Shirley who preceded him.<

Elder Robin Jones Library

Thanks to his son and daughter (Rolfe & Danielle) and a member in the UK (Richard), a box of scores of items from Robin Jones library arrived recently. It was a shock to all of us when he suddenly died earlier this year, but I hope that preserving this will honour him and his ministry. I have sent up a page here to preserve what I can of his great service to the Church.

The vast majority are items I don’t have as hard copies or electronically on my website, so I am so grateful to receive these items.

After sorting through them, the items are and will be scanned and then uploaded to this site.
