Dear Friend:
We appreciate this opportunity to provide you with a list of the basic truths that have been restored to their present fullness in the Church of God, primarily through Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong.
Much greater insight and understanding have been given to the Church in the following areas:
- Who and what God is.
- God's purpose -- to reproduce Himself through mankind.
- What man is.
- The human spirit that is in man.
- The true Gospel, how the world lost it and how it was restored.
- God's Government in the Church.
- Only those called of God can come to Christ.
- This is not the only day of salvation -- the Church
represents only the "firstfruits" of God's spiritual "harvest."
- True Christians are not yet "born again," but are
begotten by receiving God's Holy Spirit.
- True spiritual knowledge and understanding are given by God through His Holy Spirit to the Church. It is the responsibility of Christ's ministry to authoritatively teach these biblical truths to those God is calling.
- Resurrection to judgment.
- The authority of God's sacred calendar for the Church.
- How to prove the weekly cycle, that Saturday is the seventh day of the week.
- The Holy Days and God's master plan.
- Proper understanding of prophecy (especially who and what is the "Beast").
- The identity of the United States and Britain in prophecy.
- The second tithe for keeping God's festivals.
- The third tithe for support of the widows and the fatherless.
