The roots of The Bible Sabbath
Association go back to 1943 when a few Sabbath-keepers of different
denominational backgrounds felt there was a need for closer fellowship among
Sabbath believers without regard to personal convictions on other issues.
The association was organized in 1945, with founder George Main of Pomona
Park, Florida, as the first secretary-treasurer.
In 1955, Lawrence and Lottie Burrell were elected secretary-treasurer;
the offices were moved to Fairview, Oklahoma.
The
home office is located at Fairview, Oklahoma 73737. Requests for information,
orders for literature, and offerings, should be sent to the business office at
PO Box 7707, Bonney Lake, WA 98391
The Bible
Sabbath Association
(BSA)
is a strictly nonsectarian association with members
from a wide variety of groups, including Seventh-day Adventists, Seventh Day
Baptists, various Churches of God (Seventh Day), sacred name assemblies,
charismatic groups, and others; some members have no church affiliation.
BSA is not
a denomination or church and does not seek to bring about mergers among various
groups.
We believe there is strength in diversity and
encourage Sabbath-keepers to seek fellowship with and to support their own
individual churches or assemblies.
BSA accepts
as members all who acknowledge Jesus Christ (Yahshua the Messiah) as Savior, who
regard the Bible as the inspired word of the Creator, and who uphold the
seventh-day Sabbath.
BSA
takes no official position on other theological issues.
